The Coco-de-mer otherwise known as the double coconut is a species of palm that grows only on the islands of Praslin, where I was born, and Curieuse which is part of The Seychelles. It is sometimes also referred to as the love nut because of its shape. The coco-de-mer produces the largest seed in the world as it weighs between 15 and 30 kgs while the plant grows between 25 and 34 metres tall. Because the coco-de-mer is a unique part of our heritage, we chose to use this as our logo
