What Makes the Perfect Pet Treat

Some people may think that the perfect treat for your dog is the treat that your dog likes best. While it is true that in order for a training treat to work effectively it has to be not only palatable but something special that your dog really enjoys. However while not all treats are used for training they all should be good for your dog, not just nutritious but free of sugar and preservatives and promoting healthy dogs and other pets.

One of our regular customers, Nell Hunter, owns two tiny poodles each weighing less than 3kgs. A major issue with many dogs and especially small dogs is dental care and gum disease. One of the best preventative measures is chewing on uncooked bones but little dogs can't handle most bones and some dogs just don't like chicken.... and that was Nell's problem. Then she discovered our succulent air dried veal spare ribs from NZ. "These meaty bones provide an excellent work out for our poodles little teeth without the fear of splintering or other issues with cooked bones ... and they love them".
